Dear Tsubasacon Community,
On behalf of the staff, we first and foremost, hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during these uncertain times. Tsubasacon has been continuously operating annually since 2004, and has grown over the years only due to the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and an amazing fanbase, that seems more like family to us.
We have made the difficult decision to postpone Tsubasacon until October 8,9,10, 2021.
We know this will be a disappointment to all of you, just as it is to us. This decision was made with the greatest reluctance; Tsubasacon is run by fans for fans, and we love it as much as you do. We had hoped that it would still be possible to hold a convention this year, but continuing developments regarding the COVID-19 situation mean that we can no longer realistically expect to do so. The unpredictability of fall 2020 makes it impossible to plan Tsubasacon, and our venue has impressed upon us they have no idea what reopening would look like for our event with possible new guidelines.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ATTENDEES & VENDORS?
Everyone who has pre-registered for Tsubasacon 2020 will have their registration, or vendor registration automatically rolled over to Tsubasacon 2021 (October 8,9,10 2021.) If you would like a refund instead please use this request form.
Our partner hotels have been made aware of the cancellation. You will need to cancel any hotel room you have made, but there will be no penalty for canceling, we will announce 2021 hotel room blocks as soon as we can.
Tsubasacon Will Return – Oct 8,9,10 2021.
Tsubasacon is a labor of love for all involved. This convention was started by people who love anime and the community surrounding it. We are looking forward to a record breaking return in 2021 and we want to see you all there!
