Sometimes you can’t find an answer to a question, if you’re not sure of the department just choose “General Questions” and we’ll try to route your question to the appropriate person!
Please check out our FAQ to see if your question has already been answered.
Are you looking for help?
Whether you just like helping out at conventions or are a bit strapped for cash, we are always taking Volunteers! Check out our volunteer page for more details on how you can help! Most volunteers become “staff” within a year, and we’re always looking for “Superstars” to help fill out our group!
I’m a Vendor or Artist, can I come too?
Of course! Vendor Applications will be posted on our site usually around 8 months or so before the convention so you can plan ahead. Artist Alley applications open in May every year and stay open for about a week! Follow our Facebook for more details!
Is there anything to eat around Charleston?
The Charleston Coliseum and Convention center supplies different food options throughout the weekend to satisfy different cravings – from nachos and pretzels to tacos, stir-fry to pizza, there’s something to eat in a pinch!
There is also the awesome Charleston Town Center Mall right across the street that hosts a full foodcourt with lots of options for grub during the weekend if you just want to take a short walk!
What kind of accommodations are there?
Tsubasacon partners with multiple hotels in the area for the best deal! Many of the hotels have free or reduced priced parking for the weekend, and most are within a block or two of the convention center so you don’t have to move your car when you get here! Details on our hotels will be posted about six months before the convention.
I like to Cosplay, what can I look forward to?
Tsubasacon has a cosplay competition each year! We judge cosplay, or you can choose to walk on or even perform a skit! We welcome cosplay photographers and have lots of awesome spots that are perfect for photo-shoots. If you don’t have a cosplay, but still want to dress up, the vendor room has plenty of options for picking out a costume during the weekend!
Who all is welcome at Tsubasacon?
Everyone is welcome! We are proud to welcome everyone into our “geeky” family, whether you bring your whole family or come by yourself, or bring a whole anime or gaming club – you are welcome! Be yourself! Meet new people who talk about and like the same things you do! Dress up in costume (even when it’s not Halloween!) and relax, we’re all here to celebrate our differences and similarities!
What can I expect out of coming to Tsubasacon?
If you like anime, video gaming, board gaming, roleplaying, shopping pop culture booths, visiting artists and crafters specializing in geek/pop culture items, or cosplaying, then Tsubasacon has something for you!
Whether you purchase a three-day badge to spend the weekend with your friends just being yourself, or whether you purchase a single day badge to get an autograph from your favorite voice actor, Tsubasacon has you covered!
What sets Tsubasacon apart from other anime, gaming or pop culture conventions in West Virginia?
We have three full days of programming, vendors, artists, cosplay (costume) contests, game shows, concerts, special industry and voice guests, a manga library, video and board/tabletop gaming and so much more! We’re still the biggest convention of our kind in West Virginia and we want to keep on growing to be the best!
Do you sell one day badges?
While we don’t sell day badges online, you can buy one day wristbands at the convention.
