Tsubasacon is excited to announce our second musical guest for this year's convention!
Japanese born and North Carolina resident, JUNKO FUJIYAMA, is a singer/song writer and a keyboardist. She has worked with several local bands (including Fujiyama Roll, Wasabi & Tears and Scientific Superstar) as the lead singer and has also been playing shows as a solo performer.
She has performed at many cultural events, benefit shows, music festivals, anime conventions and local clubs, such as
IKKiCON, Ichibancon, Ohayocon, Japan Fest Atlanta, International Festival of Raleigh, Troika Music Festival, Carrboro Music Festival, Taste of Durham Festival, Meredith College, University of North Carolina, Duke University and various music clubs (e.g. Cat's Cradle, Pour House, etc.)
JUNKO's original songs can be described as J-rock and J-pop blended together. They are powerful, delicate, intricate and intriguing.
She also covers J-pop/rock and Anime themed songs, adding some American pop flavor and makes them sweeter! You can check out her music and videos at http://www.reverbnation.com/junkomusic
JUNKO is really looking forward to meeting everyone and celebrating Tsubasacon’s 10th Anniversary together.
2d6 was born from the discovery of two magical six-sided dice, granting their holders the mystical powers of rap. Their rhymes are about the nerdiest of nerd subjects: non-playable characters, anime conventions, Nathan Fillion, fictional doctors, and the like. If you're into hip-hop or high-energy concerts or silly hats or eating candy or whatever, you should probably swing on by and see the show. It's worth it.
Be warned! Naughty language is involved.
