Considering this was probably my volunteer coordinator's first time doing something like this, I think she did good. She is another person I dragged into this and I'm glad she showed up, with backup!
Heather did an excellent job; I think she did well with what she had to work with, but she was definitely overwhelmed.

As announced at 06's Closing Ceremonies:
Random Battle Group will be at next year's Tsubasacon, bringing with them a new feature: Metal Gear RBG. Currently, this new feature shall be Tsubasa-only. Further details on that will have to come from RBG themselves.

Ooh...Metal Gear. I can't wait to hear more of that! (I have wanted to cosplay Otacon for a while now) |

I say, if possible, bring back limebarb.com cosplay group. They were really nice (and awesome) to talk to when they had time and they helped me a lot with projects I am currently working on. And Patrick was awesome to talk to as well so you can bring back him too if we can.
As far as new ideas go, you might want to try the otaku cosplay dating game. I have heard its been done at other cons and it works. Just like the dating game except cosplayers get on stage and act in character when asked questions. If I had that article that tokyopop.com had, I would post the url on here. It would explain more than me. Well, I'll hopefully be on staff next year so I'll get to help more often. |

That sounds like a fun idea. I suggest that if this event is part of TsuCon 07, that it be 18+ only. We can't afford to bother with parental consent and all that jazz. |

During registration, If they can provide ID that proves they are 18 or older then they get a pass that has 18+ on it, if they can't they get a pass that says UNDER 18 on it. Also, some things should be OFFLIMITS even with parental consent. Like Anime's that required ID such as AMV HELL 0. YOU MIND RAPED US ALL!!! |

Another Suggestion.
Advertise at more colleges. I know several people that went only because they saw the flyer on the boards down at West Virginia State University. Oh, and I think there needs to be a few more staff for various things, but you guys are working that out from what I have read. |

If we were to place stickers on the badges saying that you're 18+, then somebody trades a person badges for that reason, and someone whose obviously below 18 waltzes up to a door wanting entry, we *still* have to check their ID to make sure they're of age. It'd be less work for the already swamped registration desk to leave it to security or the DH's at the appropriate time.As for advertisement, I covered Marshall decently, I thought. I also assume that Concord got good coverage since most of our volunteers and a lot of our staff came from there. I agree that we need to expand to other colleges, but I'm thinking the big ones in WV are already set. |

^^ I had a great time this year I thought that the setup was emaculate. I felt like I was at a bigger con. I think though in my opinion there should be a good otaku award something that says "this cosplayer had the best attitude" during the judging or even have someone in disguise basically go around observing everyone taking in consideration as many as they have talked to and is registered for the cosplay that award.
I also think that there should be more advertisement for Tsubasacon in general this would help the con's business and make it bigger. I can see good things from this. The only thing I didn't like were some of the attitudes about people who were a bit bigger there was a few remarks made about "cosplaying your body type" personally if a person is having fun leave it be. I don't want this to throw the thread off into a tangit I am simply answering the question of "what you didn't like about the con. "Other than that you all rocked this year and our FMA group had a wonderful time. |

Less stink during the rave, haha! I walked in to take a look and the smell brought tears to my eyes.Â
Funny, I couldn't smell anything... Then again, I wasn't on the floor but on stage. So I had a wall of sound pushing smells away. Seriously, I think I moved well over a billion cubic feet of air over this weekend with my speakers. =P My one complaint about this year would have been that one jackass at the convention center counter telling me 1) it wasn't his job to turn the A/C on and, 2) it would cost $6,000 to turn the A/C on. What the deuce... |

That's crazy...when I approached him he finally turned something called "air handlers" on and after that it started getting alot cooler in there, I think the issue is he had to walk rather far into the actual arena to get this done, he did mention that we would have to remind him to turn them off, since he would get in trouble. |

We have these at the station, There used to keep the Studio cool with all the lighting. In terms, its a giant blower which moves the air. Thats all it does, It doesnt run it through an active condenser. The airflow alone is enough to cool it down. Enough of my tech talk, This year was awesome. My G/F is already planning to come back for next year. |
