Internet Exsplore doesnt show the button, so if you have that, that might be why.

I don't see it.

Upper right hand corner, there are three words: "Main   Forums   Gallery"

Just click the one that represents the place you want to go.

If you genuinely don't have that there, take a screenshot, and send it to Farix explaining what's missing and give him the info about your browser's type and version number.

I'm running Internet Explorer 6.0 and I can see the buttons.  Now last night before I went to bed I got on my old laptop which I had updated to Internet Explorer 7.0 and none of the navigation buttons would show up on the forum.  Both of the computers I ran last night are XP.  My vista, which has Internet Explorer 7.0, has the navigation buttons show up.

Would either of those browsers have Javascript turned off? I haven't tested it with the Javascript off, but there is some scripting for IE6 to take care of some compliance issues.

I think it's turned on for both.

Curious, because I tested IE7 in XP and I wasn't able to reproduce your problem.

As for Math85's question, while the forums may get a new change of cloths, they will still be active while next year's website is constructed.

I actually enjoy green because

1) Its the mascot's accepted hair color.
2) Its the Marshall Colors and we are in Huntington

I vote for still yet an emphasis of the green color and whatever else looks good with it.

I vote for joomla vs mambo and a non bridged forum to avoid licensing issues on smf.  Cheesy
I vote for acajoom v 3.0   Grin

</end opinion>

I think green is a good color, I just think it needs something other than just the plain white to go with it.

I also thinking something that would be pretty cool, would be to add like an IM typ thing that is just a pop so people with out MSN AIM ECT, can still talk to people on the fourm. Cheesy

The forum has a Personal Message system. Click on the user's name and then on the profile page, under "Additional Information" is a link that says "Send this user a personal message."

Despite the fact that green is the color of Mitsuki-tan's hair, I'm getting kind of tired of it. Perhaps red, like her eyes?

We could do what some forums do and have multiple color schemes; each user sets his or her color scheme in the control panel. We could start with red, blue, green, and yellow variants on the current design.

Having said that though, it may not be an option for the particular type of forum that we're using, and migrating usernames, profiles, and posts from one kind of forum to another is not always a problem-free operation. So before anyone gets their hopes up, we may want to hear back from our favorite fugitive webmonkey.

That is a good opinion to have but there are some drawbacks on the thinking. For one, it is possible that some people don't have instant messaging systems (e.g. Yahoo, AIM, etc.). Also, it is common for bulletin boards or message boards to have a message system built in. That's just one of the many features that comes with having a message board online. Cheesy

Now for a toss up question - what do you think we need to include in the website for next year that we don't have at the moment? This should be related to content categories and maybe some specific things but not guests, panels, etc. Those would go in the other forum topics. Wink
