Please volunteer to work at the con! An autograph of my favorite webcomic writer/artist hangs in the balance! The only people I know are already on staff or volunteering. You get in free, just give some of your time to help the staff do what they do. They won't bite! I think. Volunteer for my birthday present?

You really want that autograph.  I actually feel kind of bad about blackmailing you now.

There will be a volunteer table set up for the purpose of volunteers.

I intend on voleenterring for all three days begining to the tragic end. I have everything ready to go my pass is orderd and I just need to sign in at the table.

Where will the table be located at? if you don't mind my asking of course I wont be there till 1pm on Friday my Japanese 101 class don't get out till 10 minutes till 1

As of right now, the most likely place for the table will be near the front end of artist alley adjacent to the registration desk and main entrance. We may put it there intentionally because it is easy to find and also we would be able to see who is going to volunteer and what not.

Just as a reminder, please be prepared to work and help us out. Your efforts will not go unnoticed,

I am very prepared to help out I actully took the whole weekend off work to come to the con, I was going to sing (Srry that's spelled wrong but its very early in the am so please forgive me) up in Dec but I never got an E-mail back saying what I needed to do.

I apologize for someone not getting back to you then but just stop by the table and we'll find you a home to help out with. ^_^

Please don't think this is said rudely, but wouldn't it be easier to just go back and fix the typo then write an explanation? ;)

Honestly it probably would have been but the truth is I wasn't sure how to spell the right word, I just didn't want anyone thinking I was stupid.   

Staff work the con and we all still have a blast So Volunteering wont be boring at all! PROMISE! :D

Almost every staff.....section?.....is gonna need a volunteer so we could ALWAYS use the help! :D

The areas where volunteers will be assigned are vendors room, registration, panels, Main Events, and video rooms. In most of these areas, the volunteer will server as a gopher ready to run errands for the staff. There may be a few other areas, but that depends on how many people we have as volunteers. However, you must pay for your registration fee before you can volunteer. After you work a set number of hours, you're registration fee will be reimbursed.

I will say that you can work as many or as few shifts as you like. But you have to work the set number of hours to receive a reimbursement of your registration fee.

Just heard from Tom and Margaret and they are more than happy to volunteer the con.  I will too, but keep in mind no heavy lifting, I will be getting carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand in November.  Maybe help at registration and some light work.  The '40 somethings' will be ready for you guys as soon as we get situated in the hotel room!

I should be free to volunteer for some of it.  I'll be there the whole weekend and such, and won't be with a group that I'm aware of yet so I might as well have a point other then randomly walking around and people watching to see all the cosplay.

I have to ask...who? And what's the blackmail? LOL

By the by, please do volunteer people....it would be wonderful to have the problem of having too many willing people.

Do you guys still need some more volunteers?  I saw the page at the top saying there would be a signup page eventually, and was gonna wait for that.  But doesn't seem like that'll make it before tomorrow.  Would you just want me to check after I get there?

Awesome I look forward to  Volunteering this year I wanted to last year but the person I aske in the Vendors room was rud to me so he wouldn't let me help him.

Do you know if I will be able to sing up @ 9am when I come get my badge, before I got to my classes? Or should I wait untill I come back at about 1:15pm ?
