For those who have been keeping an eye on the forums will know that Tsubasacon is planning to host its first Pajama Party. Now we like to announce that the Pajama Party Regulation have been posted under the Events menu. OK Farix, I'll bite.  WHAT'S A PAJAMA PARTY?  Where's it going to be?  And for crying out loud feed the webmonkey more often, the poor fellow's becoming a skeleton!!! :rolleyes:

Yeah I'd like to know exactly when this will be, since I don't think we can actually stay in the convention center all night. Though that would rock.

The party is planned for Friday night. I believe it'll run about 9:00pm-12:00am.

My plan is to show a movie around the mini cosplay contest, although if the majority of people wanting to attend would rather me come up with something more active, like games, I can do that instead. ^-^

so is this "party" going to be at the con center or at a hotels conference center? i doubt it will be in a suite at one of the hotels lol...^.^ even though that would be cool...

I wanna play Twister and Clue at the party! And snacks, but I don't think we can have snacks.

Twister would definitely be interesting. Especially if all the people playing were dressed up. It would be like Tsubasacon's own Cosplay Twister :P

I just reread the rules and it said shorts/pants are required. My costume is a nightgown that reaches halfway down my calves. Is that okay or should I buy/make some shorts to go under?

I can bring Twister and some other games. I'll probably bring my planned movie too, just in case. It's Koi no Mon (Otakus in Love), a very fitting comedy about cosplay. I want to have snacks as well...but we'll see what I can do about that.


That rule was mainly meant to assure that girls don't show up in short little nighties and guys don't show up in just boxers ><  A nightgown that long would be ok, but if you're going to play Twister, you might want to put on some shorts under it. ^^'

DOo you have to wear pajamas to be in it or can you just show up in your normal clothes/cosplay?

No. The party will probably be from 9pm-12am. And even if we extend it a little bit, it will not be an all night event.


I'm not going to turn those not wearing pajamas away, but it's a chance to be comfy and wear pjs! :3 Also, the only people eligible for the cosplay contest are those in some pajama variation.

I fully intend on wearing some shorts under the nightgown, but that won't be part of the cosplay. Thanks for letting me know, I didn't want to be disqualified after spending so much on lace (which there wasn't that much, just really expensive lace). And I know convention centers are usually really strict about food entering the building, so I won't be too upset if we can't have snacks. Maybe just cry for one hour instead of all the hours.  ;)

Can ypu still inter the contest even if you have never seen the person you plan to cosplay in Pj's before? I am coming as Konan and I don't think she has ever been in Pj's that I know of

The rules state:

"Cosplay is encouraged, but by no means required. There will be small awards presented to the best pajama cosplays- one for the best original character pajamas, and one for the best-replicated character pajamas (actual pajamas from a series)."

So yes, you can cosplay as a character in pajamas even if the character has never visibly worn pajamas. At least I hope so, that's how I made my jammies!

Thats what I was wondering for so I could make my own Pj's as well.

I'm sad, nobody ever fought zombies in pajamas...that I know of!

I'll make a note to fight some next time I wear pajamas.

Umm no old girl from the first Resadent Evil movie did it in what I assume to be her Pj's but than again we all know what happans when you assume XDD

I really would like to think every one who came to the party even if I had to chase you down and dragg you there I would also love to think the awesome head of Cosplay for coming up with the idea and I really hope its done again next year.

You just cant beat pervy anime, Twister, and cranium. ~_^
