Tsubasacon 2008

I'm sure many of you are interested in this year's wave of video gaming tournaments, and we hope that this year does not disappoint. Many of our competitions will be headed up by The LANding Zone, who will be handling the scheduling and registration for these events.

Participants may take part in as many tournaments as they would like, and there are no additional fees to enter -- your Tsubasacon badge gets you access to all of the video gaming events. Titles, times, and details can be found after the link

Ever wondered what the name of Tsubasacon's little angel mascot is? Truth be told, she never had one. But this year, she demanded to have a name. After all, she got annoyed by the Fugitive Webmonkey shouting, "HEY YOU!" when he talked to her. So, we are giving you the opportunity to give her a name. But there is more then just naming our little angel. You can get your creative juices going by writing a back story for her.

The contest will run through the convention, until Sunday, September 28 at 10 am. The winning name and back story will be announced on Sunday, September 28 at 1 pm. Good luck!

Tsubasacon 2008 is only twelve days away. Are you ready? We are! We have already set an all time pre-registration record. We thanks everyone who has pre-registered so far. If you have not pre-registered yet, there is still time left or you can simply register at the door. Online registration will end on September 24th.

Convention hours:

• Friday: 9:00 am to 2:00 am
• Saturday: 9:00 am to 3:00 am
• Sunday: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Registration hours will differ.

Tsubasacon announces the appearance of local garage band, the Astroboys. The Astroboys covers anime theme songs with an original mix of punk and modern rock. Claiming to "ruin every anime theme you once held dear, if only to show you that change is a terrible thing," the Astroboys will make their debut at Tsubasacon on Sunday.
